Language is one of the first indicators that signal a shift in the conscious collective of any society. This is what her survival and replication genes are telling her: "If you buy them he will come--inside of you--and then you'll get pregnant." She is geared by nature to think this way. However, even though she wants the shoes, and her limited supply of fertile eggs are cheering her on, she sometimes needs the help of a very special person to make that final buying decision. This is the most important person in the entire store. This person is the salesman.


The purpose of the salesperson is not to talk you into buying things you don't need. According to Ron Martin, founder of the pro-active no-pressure sales system, on which this book is based on in part, the salesperson's job is to give the customer sufficient information to make an intelligent buying decision, be it yes or no.
